Before launching a campaign on the Speakol network, it is essential to be aware of these guidelines while designing your landing pages. A landing page is where you direct users once they click on one of your campaign ads. It may contain both your content and that of a third-party, including but not limited to advertisements.
All landing pages must comply with the following policies:
Your landing pages must also comply with the below policies. These guidelines are not exhaustive; we will reject or remove any campaign items that we believe to be harmful to our publishers or users, even if the campaign items otherwise comply with all of our guidelines.
User Experience:
- Landing pages must be accurately titled and must lead to the destination that users reasonably expect from the titles once they click your link.
- Content on the landing pages should be written in a language that speaks to the users targeted.
- The language of your title should correspond to the language used on the landing page.
- If the landing page includes a video designed to promote and sell a product or service, a link with the complete video transcript must be provided before finalizing any transaction.
- Landing pages must be of high quality and should provide a positive and engaging user experience.
- Landing pages must not be general home pages, general index pages, or PDFs unless explicitly authorized by Speakol, in our sole discretion.
- Landing pages must not have popups or overlays.
- Landing pages must not have a paywall before page accesses are granted. Do not promote content if it requires users to make a payment before accessing your landing page.
Disclosure:
- If the landing pages contain paid comments, endorsement, or testimonies, this must be clearly disclosed on the landing pages.
- If landing pages promote a particular product or service, this must be clearly stated to avoid confusing users between promotional content and editorial content.
- Landing pages must state their affiliations.
- Any before/after photos used on landing pages must be 100% genuine, and should not aim to scam or mislead users in any way.
- Clearly state all material terms and promotional offers to avoid confusing users.
Tips:
- Avoid using the word “news” in the title, or URL.
- Avoid adding a title at the top of the page, or creating a fake heading or navigational buttons that may give the impression that the page is part of larger news or editorial content if it is not.
- Do not identify a content writer as a reporter or journalist.
- Do not include auto-refreshing date stamps that may give users a false impression as to when the article has been written.
- Do not use fake social media icons that give the false impression that the page has a higher public engagement than it really does.
Ads and Third-Party Content must comply with the following policies:
- Prohibited Content, Products, and Services
- Prohibited Campaign Practices
- Title, Thumbnail, and Branding Text Policies
Disclosure:
- All ads and third-party content must disclose that they are promotional material and should mention the provider of any sponsored content, products, or services they may promote.
